Updated June 2017.

Dear reader,

Thank you for stopping by!

Our goal at HuntingCrossbow.Net is to provide helpful product reviews, hunting tips, tools and tutorials for those getting started with crossbow hunting.

The information you see on this site is FREE to readers & subscribers but represents many, many hours of time and research for us. As such, we feel compensation is appropriate so we have agreements with some companies who pay us. We’ve worked hard to make this process very unobtrusive to you, our visitors.

Very occasionally, I accept advertising. More often I participate in affiliate programs. Both provide some income and allow us to devote time and energy to the growth and upkeep of the site.

We will only promote products we personally use or can recommend without hesitation.

Integrity is important to us. Gaining and keeping the trust of our readers is paramount.

What I do & don’t promote

We do our best to look at potential promote products/services through the eyes of a customer. We ask ourself if we would pay for it? After all, if we don’t think it’s worth paying for, we better have a really good reason to convince you to buy it.

  • The majority of the products or services we promote, we have paid for personally.
  • Sometimes We may promote products we have used personally without paying for, but still feel comfortable recommending via an affiliate link. The crossbows & accessories we review are a good example. We often link to them on Amazon.
  • We also promote products we haven’t paid for when they have valuable free information attached to them.
  • Sometimes, but rarely we will promote a product we are not currently a paying customer for but have been a paying customer in the past.
  • Very rarely will we promote a product we have not paid for but comes highly recommended by people we trust.

What is an affiliate link / referral link?

Sprinkled throughout you will see references to my use of affiliate links or referral links. These references are called disclosures and are a requirement as put forth by the FTC here in the U.S.

They are there to inform you we have a relationship with a particular product or service and if you choose to purchase that product or service via my affiliate link, we will get a small commission. Of course, this is at no extra cost to you, but it does help keep our candle burning so we can keep bringing you great tips! We truly appreciate your support in this way.

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Thank you.
